Add a destination (Custom RTMP / Custom SRT / Platform)

Use this guide to create a destination you can attach to one or more streams.

Open the Add Destination dialog

1. Go to Destinations

2. Click + Add Destination

You’ll see a dialog where you can select a platform:

• Custom RTMP

• Custom SRT

• YouTube / Twitch / LinkedIn / X (guided)

Option A: Add a Custom RTMP destination

Choose Custom RTMP, then fill in:

• Platform Name
  Example: YouTube Live, Twitch, Partner RTMP

• RTMP Server URL
  Example: rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2

• Stream Key
  Paste the stream key provided by the platform.

Click Add Destination to save.

Tip: If your platform gives you rtmps://..., use that exact URL.

Option B: Add a Custom SRT destination

Choose Custom SRT, then fill in the endpoint details provided by your receiver.

Typical fields are:

• Host

• Port

• Optional: StreamID, Passphrase, Latency (only if required)

Click Add Destination to save.

Option C: Add a guided platform (YouTube / Twitch / LinkedIn / X)

Choose the platform tile and follow the guided steps.
At the end, Castlify will save it as a destination you can reuse.

Use the destination in a stream (fastest way)

1. Go to Streams

2. Find your stream row

3. In the Destinations column, click + Destination

4. Select the destination you just created

Then start the stream to begin distributing.

Edit or delete a destination

Back in Destinations:

• Click the pencil icon to edit

• Click the trash icon to delete

Note: If a destination is used by an active stream, stop the stream first before changing or removing it.
